Event | Project management

Once a year, the grounds of the Semmelweisklinik Arts and Cultural Centre transform into a vibrant and bustling festival site: Klinik unter Palmen showcases the artistic diversity of our house and its extended community. It embodies a shared vision of a world where cultural participation is accessible to all, and in which living together is understood as a collective, creative process.

The festival is made possible by the commitment and energy of more than 60 mostly volunteer contributors. Together, we design and realize a multifaceted program that includes concerts, performances, readings, exhibitions, walking acts, and a rich children’s program – inviting visitors to broaden their horizons and experience the creative power of collective action.

Bringing such a festival to life requires intensive planning, clear communication, and coordinated collaboration across multiple levels.

As project lead and part of the organizing team, I help guide the process from the initial concept through to final evaluation — contributing to areas such as concept development and programming, budgeting and funding coordination, permit acquisition, team building, and the shared execution of the event.

For me, Klinik unter Palmen is a wonderful example of what can happen when people join forces to shape spaces for art, community, and shared imagination.
